Staplehurst Music Centre welcomes new singing and Foundation Music

Staplehurst Music Centre is delighted to welcome Pam Palmer, who will be offering singing and
Foundation Music lessons at the centre from January 2024.
Pam is an active performing musician who sings with Vox Anima Chamber Choir and as a choral
freelancer. She also plays flute and piccolo as a freelancer, including with the Halling Sinfonia and the
City of Rochester Symphony Orchestra.
Pam is originally from Zimbabwe. She studied Flute and Singing Performance and Teaching at the
Zimbabwe Academy of Music and the Zimbabwe College of Music. In the UK, she has studied for
ABRSM’s Certificate of Teaching and Teaching Diploma, and has furthered her vocal studies with Andrew
Watts and James Meaders. Teaching Early Years and Primary music classes for Musical Bumps
introduced Pam to the Kodaly approach to music education. She is continuing her professional
development with the British Kodaly Academy, and her passion for teaching children music through
singing together continues to grow.
Staplehurst Music Centre offers music lessons and community music activities at Staplehurst Primary
